First Day at Mercury Fund
10/31/18
We got there a bit late. Once we got there and Mr Garrou gave us a tour of the office. Very fancy. We were introduced to the head of Mercury Science and Analysis and a bunch of other employees. After the tour, Mr Garrou brought us to the small conference room to give us a lecture overview of what we will be doing and how the company works. Very detailed and a lot of info. He told us about how giving and taking the money works. It was a bit confusing but I asked a few questions to clear it up. Then Mr Moody and Ms Lilly gave us a little overview of themselves. Mr Moody went to Episcopal. Ms Lilly went to Duke (where my parents went!) to study for a double major. After a little overview they gave us a piece of paper with a few questions. For example one of the questions was: What expectations do you have coming into this internship? or Bonus: What is Lillys favorite Halloween candy and why? I got that right. It was a lot of fun and I glad for the overview they gave us because there was a lot I didn't know.
